The Briwok Spring/Summer 2013 Collection captures the attitude of a free spirited, unique individual. One similar to jewelry designer, Taryn O' Flynn's best friend, Brianne Toth, who was suddenly killed while riding her bike during her visit home for summer vacation. The two met in college in Reno, NV and quickly become best friends. Looking for a way to remember her dear friend, Taryn, who has always been a fan of DIY, started designing jewelry carrying the nickname given to Bri from Taryn.
Using new age materials such as shark teeth, various natural stones like malachite and obsidian, in addition to bronze and antique silver snake chains, the hand-crafted collection is perfect for girls looking to stand out from the crowd of any music festival.
I got to interview the designer herself who says she hopes to one day expand her line to include men's pieces and t-shirt designs. When asked who she would love to see in her designs, she mentioned Australian fashion blogger, Amanda Shadforth of Oracle Fox and model Chloe Memisevic.
