This Weekend's Inspiration is to Be a Rebel, but not in a bad way, of course, but in a way that you challenge yourself to step out of your comfort zone. Do something different this weekend and enjoy it! Remember it doesn't have to be something big. Baby steps are a great way to start.

As you can see I had to bring out the fur because it was unbearably cold. So cold, that I had to bring out my turtleneck that I hadn't worn in years. Layering it with a few pearls and gold necklaces made it look chic and I was especially happy that my neck was warm. My extra long clutch, which I found at a rummage sale, was great for holding all my belongings.

H&M is taking their relationship with Coachella to the next level with their first ever festival collaboration with the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival. The H&M Loves Coachella collection will be the first of its kind and will be available on and in approximately 350 stores in North America on March 19th and worldwide on March 26th.

Can you believe there's only 24 days until it's officially Spring??? I know it doesn't feel like it, but it is. So it's time to start pulling our style out of the grey, black, and brown rut and into something more colorful. Which is why I love this bag from J.Crew. The Parker Cross Body in Neon Flame can add some fun and happiness to your wardrobe just in time for the warmer weather.

The Roomeur Fall/Winter 2015 presentation was a scene of cool kids in cool clothes. Some of the pieces I like the most were the biker jackets with wool pants, the printed and embroidered pink tailored jacket with matching pants and the printed wine color mini dress with a hand made embroidered hem.

Last week, Macy's hosted an event in honor of Black History Month called "The Soul Era". There was a great panel discussion between three leading ladies in the fashion industry: Journalist Tai Beauchamp, Stylist June Ambrose, and Costume Designer Johnetta Boone! They talked about their careers, the power of networking and how to be great at what you love. They later invited the audience to participate in a Q&A discussion while enjoying some light refreshments.

Forever 21 has opened a new store downtown in Philadelphia and I had the pleasure of getting a sneak peak of the store. Forever 21 embodies the fashion sense of every kind of girl, making their closets very versatile. There is a section for your punk rock girl who loves to wear leather and mix various prints and the pastel/school girl who loves to wear soft silhouettes and pretty pink and blue pastel colors with touches of white. They also include a section for the sporty girl who loves to be comfortable while wearing crop tops and her favorite basketball team's gear and the Coachella girl who loves being free and flowy and wears fringed kimonos. Also you can mix things from each section to make it your own style. In addition, the store has a great section for men. The styles range from graphic textiles, such as Keith Haring's famous designs, to comfortable yet stylish everyday looks.

Naveda is an up and coming luxury brand that has a unique take on the bohemian vibe. Their ideal women loves to travel and is effortless but she enjoys luxury and is professional. You can truly get the sense of the brand through the clothes. There are versatile pieces, such as the beaded apron, that can be worn over a plain tee. All pieces are ready to wear and with the beaded details it makes the clothes more luxurious. Seeing the Naveda brand up close and personal, has opened my eyes to a fresh and classic approach to a modern silhouette.

I would like to introduce our newest intern, Jessica Hunter to the Fashion of Philly team! A recent graduate of Charter High School for Architecture and Design (CHAD), she has had a passion for fashion since childhood. In high school, she took art classes dealing with observational drawing, Fabrication, Textiles, Tectonics, Industrial Design, Fashion Design, and Architecture. She sees fashion as a way to express herself in a whole new way and shows like Project Runway has peaked her interest in the world of fashion. She loves fashion because it let's her create her own style by adding unique pieces to her wardrobe and see how designers express their point of view through clothes!

Look out for Jessica at Philly events in the city and show her some love!

The Sally LaPointe show was my favorite show I went to during my visit to NYFW on Friday. I wish I could wear everything right away. The movement of the fringe, the over-sized  python clutch bags, the wool cocoon coats, everything was amazingly effortless, but provided instant chic.

By this time, I'm sure we're all tired of the freezing temps, especially after this weekend! Brr! It may seem too early to care about fitting into a swimsuit, but Antropologie has some really cute retro style swimsuits to help you get in a warmer state of mind. Or if you're fortunate enough, you could take a dip in a hot tub. Speaking of hot tubs, Hot Tub Time Machine 2 is coming to theaters very soon and we have tickets for you and 3 of your friends to watch an advance screening of Hot Tub Time Machine 2. The screening will take place at the United Artist in King of Prussia on Wednesday, February 18 at 7:30! To enter, simply leave a comment below letting us know which swimsuit is your favorite and you could be a winner.

Mongolian designer Bayarmaa Bayarkhuu delivered her first Mongol Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Show, which was rich with culture. The collection was inspired by a combination of traditional Mongolian costumes, urban causal style and an entrepreneur lifestyle mixing tradition and luxury with causal comfort.

To continue this week's Date Night theme, I put together a little style inspiration thanks to H&M. As I've said before H&M is a great place to find something for any occasion and this amazing jacket is just one of the many items that caught my eye. Lately, I've been loving this pastel pink color. It's feminine, romantic, and ideal for spring.

Last Thursday, I was invited to experience a Philadelphia Flyers game! It was my first time going to a hockey game, so I was excited and didn't know what to really expect. This included the fact, that it was actually cold in the stadium. I totally didn't think about it. Besides the chill factor, the game was really intense! Even though they didn't win this one, me and Hubby had a great time, made some new rooting friends, and later enjoyed some appetizers at Xfinity Live!

Visiting the Philadelphia Auto Show is always a lot of fun! This year, Buick invited us to check out their new concept car, Avenir, which means Future in the French, and the brand new Buick Cascada, the first Buick convertible offered in North America in 25 years! After exploring the cars at Buick, we were able to chat with the Rob Peterson of Buick Marketing, Holt Ware of Buick Design and Rebecca Waldmeir also from Buick Design about the vehicles. Learning exactly how much goes into designing and marketing a car was very interesting. In a way, it was much like the fashion industry. However, I still think that the Cascada, would look super cute in Barbie Pink!
