Recently Goyte's Somebody I Used to Know has been on heavy repeat in my life's soundtrack. I hear it at home, in the car, and even at work and after stumbling upon this video of choreography by Anthony Lee, I had to google the official video. I must admit I loved the moves in the first video, but I also enjoyed the invisible artist for Gotye. After a while, watching the video inspired me to create this collage on Polyvore, "Watercolors". If you haven't seen the either videos, check them out for yourself and let me know which one you like. Happy viewing!

Crazy for Collars

Collars are the newest accessory to hit the block and it doesn't matter whether they're attached to your actual shirt or not. There's so many varieties to chose from: denim, studded, spikes, bedazzled and the list goes on and on. Along with the long list of varieties comes an even longer list of DIY tutorials and videos on how to create your own trendy style with tons of pictures from sites like pinterest for inspiration. I really admire the collars created by Miami fashion blogger Amanda Del Duca on her post Coordinated Collars, check out the editorial on CaptureFashion! I actually tried my own version of Collar DIY using some vintage screw back earrings (thanks to my Mom) and a plain white button down from Forever 21. It literally took me 2 seconds to screw them on the points of each collar and PRESTO, you took this shirt from plain Jane to stylish Suzy in seconds. Let me know what ya think!

Last week, the Fashion of Philly team was invited to attend the Launch Party for Tiffany's newest collection Rubedo, hosted by Philadelphia Style Magazine and Tiffany's Walnut Street location. We were first introduced to the collection during the Fashion Now Blogger's Sip n Stroll Event at the King of Prussia Mall. The Rubedo Collection is a combination of gold, silver, and cooper metals available in 19 styles which were on display around the store and worn by lovely in-house models. The pieces range from $200 to $8000 and for this year only each piece comes inscribed with a Tiffany's signature. Many of Philadelphia's elite were in attendance including former offensive linemen, Brian Baldinger, Publisher of Philadelphia Style Magazine, John Colabelli and Visual genius Michael Deluca to name a few. The food was delightful thanks to The Palm Philadelphia, the drinks were wonderful, courtesy of Finlandia Vodka and the deserts were yummy thanks to Whipped BakeShop. The beautiful Rubedo collection is worth a stop at your nearest Tiffany's location and any piece would make a perfect timeless gift for that special someone or graduate in your life.
