September has come to a close, but what a busy month it's been. Between The Philadelphia Collection, Philly Fashion Week and the many store openings, I really enjoyed it all. The Fall weather is starting to roll in and with that, of course comes fall fashion. As we get settled into autumn, we move into October. The days get shorter, the wind blows a little harder, and we start to become inspired with nature's way of preparing for winter. During this time of year, a road trip to the Pocono or Appalachian Mountains becomes a beautiful sight full of color. I'm not one for hiking, but the view is breathtaking.

Anne Klein is the newest luxury retailer to join the prestigious Walnut Street shopping district. Don't think of Anne Klein as just your mother's brand, they have updated their looks to appeal to the younger generation. I love the store's layout, which is an edgy split level design. Among the walls of the entry space are sketches of Anne Klein's early work which made the brand what it is today.

You'll find tons of accessories on the upper level from boots to watches to complete your head to toe look. On the lower level, you can shop the Leo Legacy Collection showcasing designer Anne Klein's distinctive original vision for the brand, updated for today.

I had an awesome time at the Anne Klein VIP Grand Opening. I feel like I got to reconnect with the brand on a personal level and not just idenifying it as an older brand. Some of my favorite pieces were the bright hue tights, the simple yet stylish Heritage Dress, and any of the accessories with the lion medallion. Lions are known for their strength and power so it's such a fitting symbol for the Anne Klein brand. Their items give women a sense of strength and power whether it be for the workplace or an evening out.

Make sure you stop by the Anne Klein flagship store located on 1711 Walnut St. For more information on Anne Klein, check out their site at

Home Spa Treatment

If you're into nature inspired bath and body products, Scented combines natural ingredients and luxurious scented oils to bring spa quality items to your doorstep. They feature a wide array of products including bath salts, body creme, lip moisturizers and their patent pending Fragrance for Life Air Fresheners which can be placed on any surface. Scented products are non-toxic and cruelty-free to provide you with a relaxing scent filled day and night.

This week I decided to schedule an at home spa day. First, I heated water in a foot bath sprinkling in Scented's Moisturizing Bath Salts in Lavender Vanilla. One whiff and it's an instant escape to relaxation with a blend of fresh lavender, warm vanilla beans, zesty orange and earthly patchouli. Next, I massaged my feet with their Peppermint Cafe Body Polish to rid the skin of dead cells. The polish contains peppermint and coffee beans that left my skin glowing and feeling smooth. Lastly, I locked in the moisture with the Coconut Lime Verbana Body Creme. This creme is blended with a mixture of shea and cocoa butters, lime, kumquat, grapefruit and lemon, with a soft floral undertone of jasmine on a background of musk and sandalwood. What I love most about Scented products is that they're gentle enough to be used on a daily basis because of the natural ingredients. It also feels good to actually be able to pronounce the contents used on you skin. I recommend ordering a few items for the upcoming harsh winter to keep your skin feeling soft and smooth.

This Tyson's Corner, VA based company began its success by selling largely through a system of consultants, but felt the need to expand. Now, Scented products can be found on their newly redesigned web site You can also find them on Twitter, Facebook, and Pinterest!

It was such an honor to attend the 3rd Annual XIX Most Fashionable Women in Philadelphia. Being around so many influential woman who are recognized not only for their great sense of style, but also for their long-standing community service and involvement. If you don't know by now, you can now find TopShop at select Nordstrom locations and online. They recently hosted a Fashion Party to celebrate the launch at their King of Prussia store. I was able to go and had a great time. They gave everyone the chance to model some of their latest fashions in front of the #BritishStyle backdrop. Shoppers could also get a mini makeover by Nordstrom's Beauty Stylist, Jennifer Kochenour, dance to tunes by DJ Aiden Scott, and with every $100 purchase they gave away samples of their new beauty line coming soon to Nordstrom. Did you get to attend the fashion party? If you got to check out the collection, let me know what you think?

Franklin Mills is Philadelphia's largest outlet and value retail shopping destination. They offer more than 200 stores which now includes their newest additions LOFT Outlet and AE Outfitters. The LOFT Outlet has opened in the Neighborhood 2 section of the mall near H&M. I think that every woman should have a piece from LOFT not only because of the great prices, but you'll find timeless and classic pieces for your wardrobe.

I know we all are familiar with American Eagle, but just think of AE at outlet prices. Opening later this month in the Neighborhood 3 section near Bed Bath & Beyond, you'll find the same great classic styles at even more affordable prices. While your headed from one spot to the other stop by the new Philly Pretzel Factory for a yummy snack. Make sure you check out, Like them on Facebook, and follow them on Twitter for the latest updates. Also right now Ontario Mills in Los Angeles is giving one person the chance to become a Celebrity for a Day with a Meet & Greet with Giuliana Rancic. The package also includes a trip to Southern California, a $1000 shopping spree at your favorite Mills mall, accommodations for two at Aloft Hotel, dinner for two at Market Broiler and VIP seating at the Runway Event! After I seen The Shops at Target commercial, I became obsessed with the cute Faux Leather Skirt worn by the girl happily walking down the street of imaginary shops. I searched Target's site and found that the skirt is a Kirna Zabete for Target Faux Leather Skirt. The good news is that it's only $39.99; Bad news is it's sold out! This only led to a search for more of the trendy skirt style. So, I found eight contestants suitable for any price range and style. Shop them through my Mulu page and let me know what you think!

This month, Philadelphia's Premier lingerie shop, Hope Chest opened its Center City location. Twenty-two years ago, Hope Chest opened its original store in the Belluvue Hotel, but in 2006, moved to Haverford Square. Now, Hope Chest is back in Center City and is owned and operated by the beautiful Jennifer Rosen, the former manager and buyer of the Main Line location.

Bottom Right: Owner and Operator, The Beautiful, Jen Rosen
Hope Chest Philadelphia offers a hand-selected collection of fine lingerie, bras, shapewear and sleepwear with the chic, urban customer in mind. The Hope Chest carries brands such as Simone Perele, Cosabella and Hanky Panky as well as brands exclusive to their Center City location; Claudette and CLO Intimo. The space is warm and inviting with feminine "shabby chic" elements. I fell in love with the romantic art installation hanging in the store front. If you are ever in the mood for something special, in search of that perfect bridal shower gift or just want a break from the ordinary, stop by Hope Chest Philadelphia located at 1937 Chestnut Street.

Shop the top and more from Sugarlips here.

I love this Minor Keys Top from Sugarlips. If you haven't heard of Sugarlips, it's an addicting, trendy fashion site for girls who are girly, but like a little bit of edge. Great style is easy to find, but when you can find them at great prices, it's even better. I can see myself dressing this top up or down and wearing it year round, pairing it with a blazer or a causal sweater.

It was a pleasure meeting Christian Dior's Beauty Artist in Residence and Fashion Illustrator, Bil Donovan! It was so much fun being in a room full of love for Donovan and his work. I had the privileged of sitting with his sister and other members of his family who by the end of the night made me feel like an extended member. If you are not yet familiar with his work, visit and I'm sure he'll become an instant favorite.

This Monday, September 17th, some of Philadelphia's most recognized women in fashion will be honored not only by their sense of style, but their community service and involvement. Dougherty.  This year, they will be partnering up with Steven Lagos, who will be celebrating their 35th anniversary.

Along with enjoying Hor d'oeuvres by Restaurant XIX Executive Chef Richard Hebben, guest will have the opportunity to purchase raffle tickets ($100 each) for a chance to experience a private tour of Nicole Miller's showroom, two tickets to an exclusive Nicole Miller New York Runway Fashion Show and $1000 gift card to Nicole Miller Philadelphia. Find out how much I enjoyed the event here!

If you've been following my blog, you know that I love to feature H&M collabs and here's another one for you. Fashion director, Anna Del Russo has an exciting accessories collection debuting at 140 stores and online, October 4th. The collection will feature jewelry, sunglasses, shoes, bags, and rolling luggage. I'm not sure yet if the collection will be available in our area, but of course when I get the details I'll keep you posted.

Pictures thanks to
Del Russo believes that "accessorization is essential" and it "adds a personal touch to any outfit." I, too, love accessories because of how they can give one outfit two extremely different looks. Accessories are meant to be fun and this collection capitalizes on that thought. Check out the video about Anna talking about her collection and her music video "Fashion Shower", it's kinda catchy!

Philly Fashion is Moving Up

Now that NYFW is over, it's time for Philadelphia to shine with The Philadelphia Collection. Tuesday, I was invited to the Kick-Off Party for this year's The Philadelphia Collection events. Judging from the great time I had, I can't wait for the upcoming festivities. With nearly 75 events, spanning from large-scale "featured" runway shows and fashion presentations to smaller events including trunk shows and expert panel discussions, inviting consumers to shop and embrace fall fashion. Last year, there were so many events, I was running around like crazy. This year I maybe doing the same, but in a more organized fashion.

The event was held at the Art Museum's beautiful Art Deco designed Perelman Building located at 2424 Pennsylvania Ave. Currently the museum is hosting an exhibit entitled Prom Photographs by Mary Ellen Kelly which displays photos of students at their prom from different areas of the United States which turned out to be very interesting. Coming up on October 6, the Ronaldus Shamask: Form, Fashion, Reflection comes to Philly and is sure to attract those who appreciate the art form of fashion. I'll share more info on Ronaldus Shamask and the future exhibit in a upcoming post, but for now enjoy some more pics from the event.

Hey Fashion Lovers! It's officially September! I don't know about you, but I'm definitely excited! There's so much happening this month from Fashion's Night Out to The Philadelphia Collection. Of course, I'll be posting about some of the coolest events going on in Philly to keep you up to speed. Also  during September, I want to help you organize your closet. For Fall, I like to think, out with the old and in with the new, but taking good care of those staple pieces you love and need. I understand that not everyone can afford those beautiful California Closets so I'll make it easy on your brain and budget. If you have any questions or topics you want to see posted this month, leave a comment below!
