Probably one of my favorite trends for Fall 2013 is hologram pieces, mostly in accessories! From the splurge-worthy Milly Hologram Demi Tote Bag to the easily accessible and reasonably priced Pointed Hologram Pumps from Forever 21, there's tons of them to choose from. Which one's your favorite?

Every season, Tyra Banks knows how to keep America's Next Top Model fresh and exciting and it's 20th season is no exception. Move over ladies, because this season the guys are taking on the competition too! Eight ladies and gentlemen will be living under the same roof for a chance to win a career-launching prize pack that includes a $100,000 national ad campaign with Guess, a fashion feature in nylon Magazine and a modeling contract with Next Model Management!

All of your favorite judges are back including Kelly Cutrone, who I was able to join on conference call in a Q & A discussion. Surprisingly, Cutrone says the ladies of the house seemed to be more competitive then the guys who were getting "tripped up" by the ladies. This season also offers strong story lines similar to a reality documentary.

When asked, What makes a top model? She said, "You have to photograph well, better than everyone else. Make sure to bring a great personality, but leave the diva attitude at home." When asked if Cutrone would open her own modeling agency, she response with a firm, "No!", but she did give some great advice for aspiring models:
  1. Understand what the job means. most people think it's super easy, that you just walk around in pretty clothes. Do your research and find out what it takes.
  2. Learn to photograph well. Practice your angles, your expressions and of course your smize!
  3. Don't quit your day job. Things aren't going to take off right away. It takes time and dedication to get to the top.
  4. Go to a reputable agency. Leave those mall talent scouts alone. Find a professional agency and present them with natural photographs wearing minimal amounts of makeup, hair pushed back or up wearing a black or white tee. It creates a blank canvas for more possibilities.
I can't wait to check out the new season because we've been given a preview into the women's world of modeling, but not really the men's side. Cutrone is hoping that the show will crush any stereotypes of the male modeling industry and show what a great profession it really is. ANTM will have it's usually interaction from viewers through social media, so make sure to like and follow. Who knows, you might end up on the show!

Last week, Philly Blog Love met up for their first Happy Hour event! It was a huge success with over 20 local bloggers in attendance. We mixed and mingled, exchanged business cards and got to know one another over delicious food and cocktails from Sampan. I can't wait until the next one!

Hope you're enjoying your summer so far, but if you need a little pick me up, we gathered our top 5 looks from 10 of our favorite swimwear designers and decided to share them with you. From Mara Hoffman to Nanette Lepore and BCBG, you'll find your usual favorites and new designers to love. Now all you need is an ab roller, some water and you're good to go.

Be sure to head over to Philly Blog Love and read about my new favorite burger joint, Shake Shack, located on 20th & Sansom!

Know how you have certain clothing items that you hold onto knowing you'll wear them sooner or later. Well, that's how I felt about this tube top. I brought it a long time ago from Express and I've probably only worn it a hand full of times. So I blew the dust off and gave it another shot. I paired it with a pair of red Armani Exchange jeggings, a matching bag and leopard print sandals from Express. Do you have any items in your closet you're barely wearing?

Special thanks to Galcase for the beautiful iPhone case! This style is called the Myrtle, but to me it looks like a Minnie. Be sure to follow them on Instagram to check out their other collections.

Marc Jacobs is set to launch a mega fabulous cosmetic line on August 9 exclusively at Sephora. While Jacobs has offered fragrances in the past, this mass-market collaboration is unprecedented. The brand has pre-launched five products on, allowing beauty fanatics to get their first taste of the designer's new makeup line.
Marc reasoning behind venturing towards beauty:
“I like the transformative qualities of fashion and fashion to me is not just clothing, it’s handbags, it’s shoes, it’s clothes, it’s hair, it’s makeup, it’s fragrance, it’s the whole ritual of making those choices, of enjoying the ritual, of making the choices that will tell the world who you want to be that day.”

Marc also mentions that his line will not be boring or lazy. He loves bold colors as he is not a lover of

“natural” shades. His new beauty collection is set to have 124 products consisting four different categories with pretty cheeky names :  Blacquer , Hi-Per Color , Smart Complexion , and Boy Tested, Girl Approved.

Protecting your hair in the summer can be extremely important. Between the sun's rays, the saltwater at the beach or even the chlorine water in the pool, your hair goes through a lot. To help you out with some helpful tips is Award-winning hair colorist, Mia from Color by Mia, whose work has been recognized and recommended by Allure, Glam and Latina Magazine.

No matter what your hair color is, the sun will lighten all shades of hair. It can also cause damage to hair from the cuticle to its inner structure, if exposed to the sun's UVA and UVB rays for a long period of time. That is why it’s important to protect hair during long summer days. Here’s what it can do to your color:

• Blondes & Grays: This can be great news for blondes or grays who might want a color tune-up. The sun will add natural, yet complimentary highlights to these shades of hair.
• Reds: Natural red heads especially should be cautious in the sun. Hair is typically dryer than other colors. Whether the color is naturally fierce or boldly dyed, the sun will fade hair color quickly.
• Brunettes/Blacks: The sun may either tarnish gorgeous brunette hair, or can add some cool, natural highlights in red or caramel shades, depending on your hair. For brunettes whose color tends to  dull from summer sun, try adding a toner to take out the unwanted brassy tone.

To protect all hair colors during summer activities, I advise applying a deep conditioner to dry hair and tying into a braid. Top it off by donning a gorgeous hat that will guard your precious skin and hair from harmful rays.

Chlorine is hair color kryptonite! The next time you take a cooling dip in the pool, remember that you are swimming in BLEACH. Chlorine will fry and dry out all hair types--- natural or tinted. Additionally, it will remove any keratin treatment or Brazilian blowout on contact. For specific hair colors, bleach will:

• Blondes: Turns beautiful blondes to a teal green.
• Reds: Chlorine will strip the vibrant pigment right out of the hair.
• Brunettes: Will make hair appear brassy.

Feel like you’re going to miss out on all of the pool fun? Don’t distress- You can always shampoo the chlorine right out. Just make sure to do so immediately.
Sweat is actually harmless to hair color, so feel free to sweat away in the hot summer air!

Salt water will cause all hair types to dry out, but as long as it is rinsed out immediately following a beach outing, hair should be fine.  However, both remain true for chlorine and salt water—they will ruin any keratin treatment or Brazilian blowout. So be cautious of upcoming summer activities before you make that appointment at the salon.

Enhance a sun-kissed shade:
To extenuate sun- kissed color, gather hair into a high, neat bun. This will allow the sun to reach the strands of hair that are usually hidden underneath--for a little sun exposure, but not too much. You can also try Balayage accents around the hairline, which will continue to brighten throughout the summer.

Cutex, inventor of nail polish remover more than 100 years ago, recently developed a new formula to keep your nails healthy and remove the polish quickly. The Advance Revival patent pending formula combines the power of acetone with strengthening and nourishing natural apricot seed and parilla drying oils. These drying oils begin as a liquid and turn into a solid when exposed to air, allowing the acetone to evaporate. Through the drying process, nails are strengthened, leaving them feeling healthy and clean after just one use. The nourishing and protective coating of the botanical drying oils create a healthier canvas for applying and holding new polish.

The Advanced Revival Nail Polish Remover cleans your nails quickly without leaving them feeling dry.

For the girl on the go, the Advanced Revival Nail Polish Remover Pads are the quickest way to remove your polish. Each felt pad is individually wrapped and removes polish from 10 nails, fingers and toes.

Cutex Cotton Ball Holders make it easy to remove polish without ruining your manicure. Simply place the cotton ball into the cup and swipe away. If you're anything like me, I usually forget to remove the polish from my toes after I've already painted my nails, so this is a exactly what I needed.

I'm sure you can paint one hand almost perfect, but the other hand might be a different story. The Corrector Pen from Cutex is excellent for quick and accurate touch-ups. It also comes with 4 extra tips to keep your nails on point.

Every good manicure starts with a good base. Cutex's Baseworx is a patent-pending base coat formula consisting of bio-ceramics. The bio-ceramic glass adheres to the protein in nails allowing your manicure to last longer while creating stronger nails. Even though it's perfect as a base coat, it can also be worn alone.

If you're looking to do an at-home manicure, these are the idea tools to have. All of these products and more can be found online at and your nearest FiveBelow. Special thanks to Cutex for letting review these great products!

Project Runway season 12 has begun with new judge and celebrity designer, Zac Posen. Posen was recently interviewed on about being on the show and how it is to work with Heidi Klum.

YourTango: Tell us about Project Runway!
Zac Posen:
 The season has been spicy!
YourTango: Spicy? Who in particular?
Zac Posen:
Spicy, creative. The contestants are judging. You know, Heidi has extremely high standards, as do I, and Nina. And it's been great having Tim watch the show with us. There are some new components that have been added into the content of the show that I would say are more inspector-y.
YourTango: Can you divulge?
Zac Posen:
We have the ability to really get into the garments and see them close up, and lose that mystery of runway to your seats. I get my hands into the clothing this season.
YourTango: What's it like working with Heidi Klum?
Zac Posen:
Amazing. Heidi is inspiring, she is driven, she is funny, she is entertaining. I think Tim is sort of the overarching angel of the show. I think the show is so fortunate as well as the fans to have him involved because he's a light. And I'm really happy to be part of a television show that has embraced having that creative, positive light. It keeps it real.
YourTango: What do you and Heidi agree and disagree about, as far as designing?
Zac Posen:
Heidi and I usually push for the more creative people and the newer ideas. Nina is definitely always going for what is the chicest to her, what is the most in trend in fashion at the moment. She comes from an editorial standpoint. I come from a real design standpoint of like, 'Is this idea going to be something that in the future Nina is going to like?' Tim comes from the development side, which is, 'How do we get this design and idea ready to present?'

You can read the rest of the interview here. Also on Project Runway this season, is designer Dom Streater, a 24 year old designer from West Philadelphia. I can't wait to see what designs she sends down the runway. Did you watch the premiere of Project Runway season 12? Who's your favorite designer so far?

Fun Facts " The Clean Program" helps by:
1.Reducing digestive work so detox can occur in full mode. The Clean Program eases digestion by providing two liquid meals a day and a solid one in between, eliminating allergenic and mucus-forming food, which frees up even more energy.
2.Protecting you from the damage of recirculating toxins. When digestion slows down, the detox signal goes off and the trapped toxins are released back into circulation. Suddenly you are more “toxic” than before starting.
3.Delivering all the specific liver detox nutrients that protect you from phase 1-phase 2 imbalances, another situation that may make you feel more toxic when detoxing.
4.Promoting gut repair. The gut is more complex than we imagine. Within it lives 80% of your immune system tissues. It also houses a nervous system that is physically larger than the one inside your skull and manufactures 90% of the serotonin in your body. The Clean Program is unique in addressing this issue. The combination of nutrients in the Clean Program is strategically designed to create the optimal conditions for gut repair, an issue missing from most popular detox programs.
