Make a Difference with Profugo Handbags

Profugo is a non-profit organization based out of Ardmore, PA that contributes to international development in India. These unique handmade bags are created by women in Wayanad, India. Each time someone purchases a Profugo item, 100% of the profits go back to community projects like Agriculture and Farming, Tailoring Training, Aquaponics, Funding an English Language School, Social Funds and Water for Life Programs. The tailoring program not only promotes technical skills, but also provides income for these women and their families, which gives true meaning to the Profugo slogan "Every Thread Has A Tale".

Profugo was nice enough sent me their Black Pattern Cross Body Bag (pictured on the model). What I love about the bag, beside the great story it tells, is the adjustable straps. You can tie the straps at a length that's best for you to wear it as a cross body or shoulder bag. It's also roomy enough to fit all your things yet very stylish. To check out more of their designs, visit their Pinterest page and their website Profugo.org. While there, read about their KickStarter Project and find out how you can make a difference!
