Let's Shop Philly: Abakus Take-Out Shop

Walking down 10th Street in Philadelphia's Chinatown, you may pass what seems to look like a facade of Chinese eateries and other shops, but there is one that is much different from the others. The window display of Abakus Take-Out Shop demands a double take, mixing elements like the Peking ducks, that hang in most restaurants, with Jordan's. The merchandising of the store is very unique in every way to add to the feeling of a Chinese food take-out shop that's been invaded by exclusive footwear and apparel. With details ranging from big to small, like a full stainless steel kitchen with wonks and frying baskets to house shoelaces and tees to clear ketchup bottles that funnel out red laces, they all play a role.Since it may be a little hard to imagine I took some pics to give you more of an idea, but it's definitely a store to check it out for yourself. For more information on the Abakus check out abakustakeout.com.
