The traditional sweatshirt got a major upgrade for Spring 2013. As spotted on the runways of Phillip Lim and Prabal Gurung, you'll find it's not just your average sweatshirt. Perfect enough for those sunny spring days that can be a little breezy, the sweatshirt is a fun piece that anyone can add to their spring wishlist. Ranging from graphic prints to sequins to studs, there's a sweatshirt for everyone no matter your budget.

Fashion icon and popstar, Rihanna is a huge fan of wearing sweatshirts and she knows how to rock them. She's been seen pairing them with skinnies, shorts, and minis, but my favorite look is seeing it paired with a black maxi skirt. Which style is your fav?

Here's my twist on dressing up a sweatshirt. I decided to go with a Diesel Black Gold Fequel Sweatshirt (Click the link to check out the black paneling on the black) with a pair J Brand 620 Hydrangea Print Skinny Jeans for a pop of color. Now for jewelry: a Woven Chain + Pearl Leather Bib (Get it now for 50% off!) and a Crystal Pave Link Leather Wrap Bracelet from my Chloe + Isabel shop. Since the pants are so busy I wanted to tone things down with a pair of black Cecelia boots from Aldo (currently on sale for $45!) and a See by Chloe April Big Duffel Bag. How would you style your sweatshirt? Design a collage, mention @fashionofphilly on twitter, and I'll add it to our Sweatshirt Chic Pinterest Board.
