#TBT: My Disney Memories - Food & Wine Fest 2017

If one of your 2018 plans include a trip to Walt Disney World, may I suggest attending their Food and Wine Festival that takes place usually at the end of summer and last until late fall. Since my family started going years ago, (over 10 years ago) it's gained popularity and they've extending the dates of the festival.

My favorite thing about the Food & Wine Festival is that I can eat "world the world" and try food and beverages from all different cultures. I always try to make it a point to visit a different station every time, but of course I have my favorites. Here's what made my Food & Wine list of 2018!

Islands of the Caribbean - Mojo Pork with Black Beans, Cilantro Riceland Pickled Red Onions. Pretty Good!

Hawai'i - Grilled Tuna Tatami with Seaweed Salad, Pickled Cucumbers, and Wasabi Cream. Loved the balance of flavor.

New Zealand - Steamed Green Lip Mussels with Garlic Butter and Toasted Breadcrumbs. My son really enjoyed this!

France - Croissant aux Escargots: Escargots Croissant with Garlic and Parsley. My all-time favorite!!! I get this every time!

Japan - Salmon BLT Sushi Roll: Futomaki Roll with Lettuce, Cucumber, Cabbage, and Carrots topped with Zuzu Miso Salmon, Tomato, and Bacon Chips. This was very good! I would definitely get this again!

Japan - Coconut Pineapple Sake Mist. This drink was big enough to share.

Some of items I wish I would've order:

  • Brazil - Crispy Pork Belly with Black Beans, Tomato, and Onions
  • Morocco - Moroccan Sangria
  • Japan - Wasabi Shumai Steamed Pork Dumplings
  • China - Chicken Pot Stickers

My usual favorites, that I didn't get this time:

  • Canada - Canadian Cheddar Cheese Soup served with a Pretzel Roll
  • France - La Passion Martini Slush  Vodka, Grey Goose Le Citron, and Cranberry and Passion Fruit Juice
  • Belgian - Belgian Waffle with Berry Compote and Whipped Cream
  • New England Lobster Roll
Have you traveled to Walt Disney World during the Food & Wine Festival? What were you're favorite dishes?
