#FOPSummer: Pinot Boutique Sunset Wine Cruise

At the start of Memorial Day Weekend, we were invited to experience something new and exciting happening on the Delaware River! PinotBoutique, a wine and accessories shop in Philadelphia, introduced the Sunset Wine Cruise aboard The Patriot, a reproduction of a classic 1920’s commuter yacht. Each cruise is a one hour wine class with gourmet cheeses along with an informational tour of the historic boats and ships you might find along the waterfront.  Just think about how fun and relaxing it would be to sip tasty local wines while enjoying the beautiful sunset and overlooking Philadelphia’s awesome skyline.

I know I had a wonderful time learning about different wines from “Dan the Wine Man”, mixing and mingling with the rest of the guests and taking in the nice scenery. The weather was kind of chilly that day so I wore my black knit C’est La Vie sweater from Dynamite with a pair of cotton shorts I just got from Uniqlo and strappy sandals. If you’re in need of more inspiration to figure out what you should wear on your Sunset Wine Cruise, I put together a helpful collage to help you get started.

  1. Sunglasses – These oversized sunnies from Oakley will not only protect your eyes, but allow you to check out that beautiful sunset.
  2. Striped Tee – Stripes just go hand in hand when it comes to anything nautical and a ¾ sleeve we keep you warm after the sun goes down, especially on the water.
  3. Linen Pants – Lightweight and comfortable, linen pants are fitting for summertime on the water.
  4. Anchor Earrings – Kate of Philly PR Girl wore a pair similar to these on the cruise and they were perfect
  5. Seashell Necklace – Even though you won’t be on the beach, a seashell is the symbol of summer.
  6. Chain Link Bracelet – We’re adding more fun to our nautical theme, just think the chains from the anchor.
  7. Chanel Espadrille – I’ve been obsessing over these Chanel espadrilles for some time now.  They’re the perfect summertime slip-on.
  8. Saddle Cross-Body Bag – Keep those hands free for a glass of wine and holding the rails by adding a small cross-body bag.
