Weekend Adventures: Buena Onda

On Sunday, I met up with my sister and went to check out The International Pop Exhibit at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. (More to come on that later.) Afterward, we decided to grab a bite to eat at Buena Onda (1901 Callowhill Street) for some amazing tacos and yummy margaritas. The shop was celebrating their One Year Anniversary and Margaritas were half off, which is always a good thing. Their Pineapple Margarita with a sugared rim makes a great drink if you're interested, sweet with a kick!

I devoured the Mahi Mahi before I could take a pic.
Like I've mentioned before I have a thing for fish tacos so I had to try their Atlantic Mahi Mahi and a Jumbo Pacific Shrimp Tacos. Both were made on a house made flour tortilla with chipotle remoulade, avocado, red cabbage, and jicama slaw. It was a perfect treat after walking around the museum for hours. Buena Onda means "Good Vibes" in Baja and it definitely matches the atmosphere inside.

For the Moms: They have a short and sweet kids menu with chicken quesadillas, grilled chicken tacos and nachos all served one a fun, frisbee. My son really loved the frisbee!
