TRUCKerton Food Truck & Brew Fest

This post is sponsored by Tuckerton Seaport & Real Mom Media. All opinions are my own.

Even though summertime is almost over, there's still plenty to do at the Jersey Shore. Over the weekend, we were invited to experience TRUCKerton, a food truck and brew fest in Tuckerton, NJ. The event was held at the Tuckerton Seaport, which was buzzing with marine activity and wildlife. There were over a dozen food trucks present with delicious bites, plenty of things for the kids to learn and do, live music, plus local beer and wine vendors.

Our first bite of the day was at 1 Potato, Two..., Home of the Spudwich, a sandwich made with potato skins. They had a lot of good choices, but I decided on the oyster spudwich and it was really tasty. The next stop was Zinna's Bistro, where Darius and SharpShooter ordered a fried shrimp basket.  Since I wasn't done cruising around for more interested food truck worthy creations, my next stop was at Dump n' Roll. There I ordered the crab mac n' cheese egg rolls. I could probably eat one of those everyday!

I'm not usually a beer drinker, but I was willing to give it a try. My first taste was the Ship Bottom Brew Killer Bee Sting IPA, the name says a lot. It packed a serious spicy punch. The gentleman who served it to me described it as "the hot person you want to date, but not married." It was a little too intense for me so I went with something more mild, the Ship Bottom Brewing Beach Patrol.

During the day we also had the opportunity to learn about all kinds of shellfish like clams, mussels, oysters, and more. There were so many interesting facts that I never knew and Darius really enjoyed it. At the end of the presentation, we snacked on fresh, raw oysters.

I had a great time meeting the other bloggers including Joey Fortman from RealMomMedia.com. Since we're usually attending fashion events, I find it very refreshing to attend something with my whole family.
