The Beauty Diaries: Mascara Part III

The last mascara product I wanted to review was the Voluminous Butterfly Mascara from L'Oreal Paris. I purchased this from Ulta for about $8.99, but it was on promo for Buy One, Get One 50% Off and I had a 20% off coupon. I got the color Black Brown because all of the mascara products I've ever own were black and I wanted to try something different. I've been wearing it on days when I'm wearing makeup, but keeping it very neutral.

When applying the mascara, I didn't feel like it gave my lashes much of a curl, but it did make them look slightly longer. I also don't thin the brush grabbed most of my lashes as the brush is sort of loose and the bristles are very short. The curve of the wand is good for getting those lashes in the inner corners of your one eye, but not so much the other. To better explain, let's say that your right handed, because of the way the wand is curved, the inner corners of you right eye are coated better than the inner corner of you left eye. Since we usually don't switch hands to apply mascara, at least I don't, I had a bit of an issue coating the inner corners of my left eye. (Hope that made sense.) I do however, like the sleek, silver packaging making it super easy to spot in your already crowded makeup bag.

So if you were thinking about trying L'Oreal's Voluminous Butterfly Mascara, I would say it's okay for those days when you don't want to look like you're wearing a lot of makeup. Have you already tried L'Oreal's Voluminous Butterfly Mascara, what did you think?
