The Beauty Diaries: Mascara Part I

Picked from Pinterest!
Hey Everyone! I hope you all enjoyed your weekend. (If you're a Broncos fan, don't cry there's always next year.) So as I had explained in January, I wanted to include more beauty post on Fashion of Philly. We started off reviewing different types of lashes and now I feel it's only right to move on to mascara.

DiorShow Maximizer Lash Plumping Serum
I'm going to start off by sharing my usual mascara routine which is a combination of two products: The DiorShow Maximizer Lash Plumping Serum and the Benefits They're Real Mascara. The DiorShow Serum works wonders! I have to thank Tanya, the fabulous Dior Makeup Artist at Saks in Bala Cynwyd for opening my eyes to this! Not only does it prime your lashes, but the serum also promotes long-term lash growth, strength, and vitality. It goes on white, but once you apply your usual mascara over top you won't even notice it. I feel like applying mascara without this just isn't the same. This bottle will cost you 28.50, but it's a nice size container so it'll last you a while. You can find DiorShow at Sephora or anywhere else Dior Beauty products are carried.

Benefit They're Real Mascara
After applying the DiorShow Maximizer, I apply my Benefit They're Real Mascara. The first time I tried this was during my trip to Fashion Week in September and I got a small trail size for free. I was really impressed with the results, so when I found out that Sephora was gifting these babies fir your birthday gift, I was even more excited! I really love the wand on this mascara because it grabs all of your lashes while straightening and curling them. The tip of the wand is rounded, so it's great for grabbing those lower lashes. The Benefit They're Real mascara is available in beauty stores like Sephora and Ulta. They also come in two sizes: the full size for $23 or the deluxe mini for $10 just in case you're not ready to make a big commitment. Both the DiorShow Maximizer and the Benefit They're Real Mascara would make great additions to your makeup bag, but if you're more interested in drugstore options, make sure you check back next week!

Have you tried either of these mascara products, we would love to hear your thoughts! Leave a comment letting us know your feedback!
