My Current Skincare Favorites - January 2021

Happy Friday Everyone! If you follow me on Instagram (@fashionofphilly), I shared a few of my current skincare favorites. Today I just wanted to share what I love about each one of them, as they all have a unique purpose for me. So let's start on the left and work our way across.

First let's start with the Derma E Ultra Hydrating Alkaline Cloud Cleanser. Imagine washing your face in a refreshing, puffy cloud...okay that might be hard to imagine, but that's what it feels like when I use this cleanser on a makeup-free day. It feels very refreshing, cooling and clean! It contains Hyaluronic Acid and Snow Mushroom Extract to keep your skin super moisturized! It's something I would definitely recommend trying so you can understand.

The next two products are also from Derma E, but they are apart of their Skin De-stress Calming +CBD Relief collection. The first one is the Moisturizer and the second is a Serum. I usually used these as a part of my night time routine. After a long day being exposed to the elements, I like to apply them because of their calming, antioxidant and anti-inflammatory benefits. The hemp seed oil creates a protective barrier restoring your skin.

Moving along to our fourth product, the BeautyCounter+ Overnight Resurfacing Peel. As you can guess from the name of it, it's best used overnight. I love using it when my skin feels a little dull. I know the term peel may frighten some of you, but it's very gentle. It contains alpha hydroxy acid and beta hydroxy acid to help peel away the surface of your skin so that new, more evenly pigmented skin cells may generate. I honestly think that's pretty cool! It's also one of BeautyCounter's Top Selling items! It's a little on the mid-price range, but since you won't use it everyday, it's worth the investment.

Behind the resurfacing peel, you'll find the GlamGlow SUPERCLEANSE Clearing Cream-to-Foam Cleanser. I like to think of it as a mask that's really a cleanser. It's great for days when my skin feels super oily or greasy or if I want to target my problem areas like my chin and forehead. It is called SUPERCLEANSE because it is packed with amazing ingredients your skin will love like three charcoals—coconut, ubame white oak, and gray bamboo—to detox skin, and botanical ingredients like TEAOXI® eucalyptus leaf, licorice root, and cumin seed.

Continuing on, we are back with another Top Seller from BeautyCounter+, their All Bright C Serum! I love this stuff in my morning routine. It makes my skin feel radiant and youthful, in fact it's been clinically proven! Vitamin C, of course, is good for our bodies, but even when applied to the skin it does amazing stuff like reduce dark spots, protect the skin from stressors in the environment, and even up your skin tone!

If you're not using sunscreen in your daily skincare routine by now, what are you doing? My current go to is the Hydra Vizor Invisible Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 30 Sunscreen (whew, that's a lot). Here's a few things I love about this sunscreen: it's lightweight, smells greats, and it's works well under makeup. Plus I can't help but to mention, that it comes in a refillable container which is recyclable and perfect to throw in your suitcase for when we get back to traveling.

Last, but not least, is the Brighten-i Eye cream by The INKEY List. This is something I picked up on a whim at Sephora while browsing around. I needed an eye cream, it was $10, and it was in their Next Best Thing section, so I decided to give it a try and I love it! The applicator is metal so if you stick it in the fridge before applying, it feels so soothing and helps get rid of tired, puffy eyes. This product also has earned the Clean at Sephora badge, so it's eco-friendly and contains Mica Mineral to instantly illuminate and brighten the under-eye area. Goodbye dark circles!

I hope you enjoyed reading about these game-changing products just as much as I enjoy using them and I hope you choose to add some of them to your skincare routine.
