Goodbye Winter Hair Woes + Giveaway (Closed)

This post was powered by Brandbacker!
Spring is just around the corner! Some of us may have started obsessing over what new fashion trends we can add to our wardrobe or what new beauty trends to try, but let's not forget about our hair. During the colder months our tresses seem to take a beatdown being covered with a hat or scarf, stuffed into coats and braving those harsh winds, but it's time to show our locks some love. Lately, I've been using the Hask Keratin Soothing Hair Care Collection to liven up and moisturize my hair. I love that their products are free of sulfates, parabens, phthalates, gluten, drying alcohol and artificial colors.

Since the collection isn't going to be be available for a while, here's a way you can rock the look now at a whole lot less, patches included!

I had the privileged of going backstage again with Aveda, which is always a pleasure. One of the looks we were able to experience was from the Charles Youssef Fall/Winter 2016 Presentation at Milk Studios.

NYFW: #JayGodfreyFW16

Every fashion week, I look forward to seeing Jay Godfrey's latest collection. I really love his designs and the collection is another hit. The stunning dresses with plenty of shoulder room and daring cut-outs were all amazing! No one could resist a photo op of the "Milan" a eye-catching jumpsuit with a cape (picture below). Even though the looks were monochromatic, the rich jewel-toned colors made them stand out from the crowd.

#WhatIWore: NYFW Day One

For the most part it was freezing during NYFW, so laying up was most important. So for day one, I wore my Sebastian McCall Jeans, Tommy Hilfiger sweater layered over a H&M chambray shirt.

NYFW: KYE Fall/Winter 2016

Kye was one of the first shows we went to on Day One of NYFW! The sportswear brand had an interesting collection of velour, fur, and fish nets. I loved the graphic prints found on different areas of the clothing and the way the KYE logo was used. The freezing temps outside had me wishing I could've worn some of the outerwear right away, especially the grey and black plaid coat pictured below. My favorite look from the collection was the grey sweatpants and crop top with the KYE logo. I also appreciated how the Vans worked with many looks in the collection, but my favorite was the sneakers paired with the silky flowing skirt at the end.

Fashion of Philly: Weekend Edition

Super Bowl 50 Style

It's the weekend and not just any weekend, but SUPERBOWL Weekend! Even though the Eagles aren't playing, it's still exciting to watch the game, the halftime performance and of course, the commercials. Surprisingly, I've been noticing a lot of them already posted on twitter and other social media sites, which kinda spoils it. I'd rather watch them during the game since it's more exciting that way. Do you plan on watching the game?

On the other hand, if you could care less about watching the big game, here's a few other things that might peak your interest!

Weekend Adventures: Indulgence Cupcakery

The weather this was weekend was much better then last weekend's blizzard, so I was ready to get out and enjoy it. One thing I want to accomplish this year is exploring more of the local scene. Find amazing restaurants, plan exciting day trips and enjoy what's in my backyard. While I was snowed in last week, I searched foodnetwork.com for nearby places featured on the channel. South Jersey doesn't have as much as Philadelphia, of course, but I did find a few hidden gems. My first stop, Indulgence Cupcakery in Haddonfield, NJ.
