Dining at Tommy Bahama

Whenever we find sometime in between shows, we try to refuel and grab something to eat! Over the weekend during New York Fashion Week, Tommy Bahama invited us to grab a bite of their delicious food and tasty drinks. The restaurant has a pretty chill vibe, which you could imagine, if you're familiar with the brand. While you're enjoying your meal, you can can shop the latest collection without lifting a hanger. Sounds like my kind of place!

It was a pretty hot day in September, so we decided to cool down and mellow out with a cold Kentucky Sangria made with Makers Mark Bourbon, Scratch Sour Mix, Ginger Beer and Red Wine. I think it's safe to say it was one of my favorite drinks this summer.

When it came to ordering some appetizers to munch on, I went for their World Famous Coconut Shrimp with Papaya-Mango Chutney and Hubby got the Seared Scallop Sliders with Chipotle Aïoli, Basil, Romas and Island Slaw. As you can see, we're both big on seafood and these dishes were amazing! I sometimes shy away from ordering coconut shrimp because it's hard to find a spot that can balance the two flavors. It's usually overpowered with coconut flakes or not enough to even be given the name coconut shrimp, but this was excellent! Also Hubby really enjoyed his sliders and how they were packed with tender scallops.

If you find yourself in New York City or in one of their many other locations worldwide, make a stop at Tommy Bahama to unwind and shop. Just a heads up, this Friday, September 23, celebrate National Key Lime Pie Day with Tommy Bahama and enjoy a tangy slice of Key Lime Pie. I'm sure you'll love it!

Special thanks to Tommy Bahama for hosting us for lunch!

  2. The best is a slice of their coconut cake....DELISH! They closed the TB in North Carolina. It was a sad day when we went there for our vacation and found out it was no longer open.
