Designer Spotlight: Classic Engineering by Eduardo Umaña

Watches have always been a classic accessory, but finding one that's unique and beautifully designed can be a tough job. The Classic NATO Watch designed by Eduardo Umaña is a perfect combination of classic and modern. Born in Bogota, Colombia, he moved to Miami at age 15 and later attended Swarthmore College where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in engineering. While in school, he began developing a limited number of classic NATO Watches, which he began selling to his friends and family.

What makes the NATO stand out is that it's made of the highest quality materials: case machined and ceramic treated right here in the U.S, swiss movement and assembly, sapphire crystal, and a beautiful leather strap handmade in Amsterdam. The leather is vegetable tanned, full-grain sourced from Tuscany, Italy (in other words, the absolute best leather).

I have received so many compliments on it and I love the neutral combination of the black VARIO and Natural Strap. Another thing I love about the NATO is that I can switch up the look and create different looks just by easily purchasing the straps. The NATO's unisex design can make an amazing gift for yourself or someone special. Be sure to stop by classic.engineering to listen more about the designer and his latest designs.

*Special thanks to Classic Engineering for sending me a watch to review.
