Menswear Trends from H&M

Fall Styling is all about layering and Head Menswear Designer, Andreas Löwenstam shows us her picks of the season to create the perfect fall wardrobe. Let's just say, it all starts with great outerwear.

HERRINGBONE COAT: “This sharp herringbone coat is such a useful piece. It can be dressed up, or worn with a soft cashmere sweater and jeans to create a more relaxed look.”

CROPPED JACKET: “The neat shape of this jacket makes it so easy to wear and versatile. With its smart look and ‘attitude,’ it’s best worn with a shirt, sweater, pants and patterned scarf.”

CAMEL BLAZER: “It’s great when you can take a traditional piece like this blazer and give it a twist. Play with formality and informality by wearing it together with a denim shirt and pair of casual slacks.”

PIN-STRIPED SUIT: “Pin-stripes look so fresh right now, especially when something unexpected is added. We put red in the stripes of the dark navy pants to shake up the style. The suit is so bold, it’s best worn with a crisp, white poplin shirt.”

UTILITY JACKET: “Functionality is always key with menswear, which is why the utility jacket is so ‘in’ this fall. This style has a coated surface, multiple pockets and a removable inner jacket. It looks just right when worn with a striped sweater and cord slacks.”

BIKER JACKET: “The biker jacket is one of this season’s must-haves, especially when it’s made with new fabrics. The jacket is made of boiled wool and has the most amazing texture. I would recommend wearing it together with a classic white T-shirt and jeans, or with a textured sweater and flannel pants.”
