From the Studio to the Street

I once heard that the one thing that can make you more confident about working out is what you wear while working out and with Lithe Studio + Street fitness gear your confidence will go through the roof. Created by Lauren Bogg Goldenberg, founder of the Philly craze workout, Lithe Method, and local designer Bela Shelu, this line of fitness apparel adds streetwear style to create fantastic pieces suitable and stylish enough for an intense workout. The line includes tank tops, tunic dresses, ballet-inspired wrap tops and leggings that combine lace, vegan-friendly leather, and mesh detailing with high performance fabrics designed with slenderizing cuts to ensure both comfort and style. The pieces range from $40 - $125 and they are all locally made right in Philadelphia. I'm honestly a little lazy on the fitness end, but wearing Lithe Studio + Street fitness gear would be a great source of motivation.

You can pick up Lithe Studio + Street at their Rittenhouse (The Medical Tower 255 S. 17th Street, 4th Floor, Philadelphia, PA 19103 215.545.5144) and Old City (219 Cuthbert Street, 4th Floor, Philadelphia, PA 19106 215.625.4919) Studios. For more information on Lithe Method check out lithemethod.com and read more about the founder, Lauren, on her blog at fithiphealthy.com

Mitchell & Ness Private Party

Last week, Mitchell & Ness hosted a Private Party at their flagship store in Philadelphia. QuestLove kept the music bumpin', mixing the original sounds from samples we hear today in about 99% of music. That just goes to show you that what's old becomes new just in a different, more modified way, similar to what the Mitchell & Ness Brand is all about bringing nostalgic sports apparel to a more modern design. Check out some of the pics below and for more about Mitchell & Ness, check out them site at mitchellandness.com.

Each week in September, AmareSinh hosted a Style Collage Competition entitled Who Would Wear It Best? On the first week, they gave away a pair of black harem dress pants and surprisingly my collage won! (Yay Me) So I wore the pants to the Black Tie Affair during Philly Fashion Week and they looked great! Thanks, AmareSinh!

Jason Wu x Target

Look out for the next Target designer collaboration featuring Jason Wu sometime early 2012. The rumors had finnally proved true this morning when the designer told WWD, “My collection for Target features clothes and accessories that are easily convertible from day to evening—sophisticated, feminine dresses, mix-and-match separates and playful accessories all with a bit of charm and dressed-up attitude.” I'll surely keep you up-to-date on more details about the collection, but in the meantime check out the video below.

Update: A look at the first relaeased sketch!
